TruSelf Organics is made in the USA and cruelty-free. The TrueSelf Organics line offers facial skincare (a mask and a facial moisturizer), a body product (shea butter), hair care (shampoo and conditioner), and makeup (lipgloss and makeup remover). For this review, I decided to try out the TruSelf Organics Toning Facial Mask, the TruSelf Organics
Raw Body Butter, and the TruSelf Organics Raw Honey Lipgloss. Overall, I really enjoy these naturally simple products!
TruSelf Organics Toning Facial Mask:
What a fun mask! TruSelf Organics Toning Facial Mask is an all-natural mask that comes in a powder form in a simple jar. Personally, I love that it is a powder as it allows you to mix the mask yourself and customize it! I will admit, part of the fun is mixing it and feeling like a chemist! :) You can mix this powder clay mask with either water or vinegar to form a paste.
The ingredients are natural and simple. Honestly, it blows me away that this mask has only 3 ingredients: clay, Epsom salt, and gelatin! So simple, yet also so effective. What a great mask option for my beloved "home spa" nights.
How I Use and My Results:
You can apply this mask as often as needed (up to 4 times weekly depending on your skin type). For my sensitive combination skin, one time per week is the maximum that I would use it. Otherwise, it might dry out my skin too much as this mask is very clarifying. To use, I mix the powder mask with water and then apply the mask in a thick layer on my skin. I mix in a 50/50 ratio water to powder mask. Typically, about 1 big heaping teaspoon of powder produces enough paste for one facial mask. I let the mask dry/harden for a few minutes and then I rinse off the mask with warm water and a soft wash cloth. When the mask hardens, it gets very tight and draws out any impurities from your skin. After rinsing off the mask, I follow with my normal serums and moisturizers. I think this mask is great for drawing impurities out of your skin and lightly toning and exfoliating your skin. My skin feels super clean and soft after I use this. Note: I do experience some very mild redness for about 5-10 min in my cheek area after rinsing off the mask. I find that if I let a warm wet washcloth sit on my face for a bit before rinsing/wiping allows the mask to release more gently and decrease any irritation. Overall, this mask is a nice option if you want to do a "spa night" at home! I am looking forward to experimenting further with this mask. I wonder, with my combo skin, if mixing the mask with plain yogurt might be an option? One 4 oz jar retails for $14.50.

I really like the idea of a natural lipgloss. I mean, after all, you wear it on your lips. So, you can feel perfectly comfortable if you end up licking this product off, lol! These TruSelf Raw Honey Lipglosses contain only 7 natural ingredients: Castor Oil, Raw Honey, Almond Oil, Sunflower Oil, Beeswax, Grapefruit Essential Oil, and Vitamin E Oil. I am very impressed with how nourishing and hydrating these glosses are! They are really a 2-in-1 product: like a moisturizing lip treatment and gloss in one!

The Shades and My Results:
I tried out the TruSelf Organics lipglosses in the shades "Nude" and "Pretty in Pink". My lips are very pigmented. So, I found that both of these shades wore completely sheer on my lips. However, if your lips are lighter in pigment, you might be able to see more of a difference in the shades. The "Nude" shade looks completely sheer when swatched and the "Pretty in Pink" has a very light pink tint.
These TruSelf Organics Raw Honey Lipglosses leave your lips feeling so soft and moisturized!!! My lips have been so dry lately. So, it is a total treat to use these. Plus, they have a super high shine gloss finish. If you love the look of high-shine sheer wet-look glosses, then you will love these.

TruSelf Organics Raw Body Butter:
This TrueSelf Organics Raw Body Butter is really unlike any other body butter that I have tried. I believe that is because this product is primarily shea butter close to its true form (without extra and unneeded ingredients and added emulsifiers). The consistency is really more like a "balm" than a butter. The product carries a natural and very light chocolate-like scent. In addition to shea butter, the product also contains cocoa butter, coconut oil, and jojoba oil. Yes, that is right, only 4 natural ingredients!
Packaging:
The TruSelf Organics Raw Body Butter comes in a cute metal screw-top tin. This little size is not only great for home, but also perfect for travel or on-the-go use! While the product size is small, it should last you a long time. You only need the smallest amount of product for each use.
How I Use:
As I mentioned, the consistency of this product is very balm-like. So, I found that I used the product like I would a body balm: on dry spots, cuticles, elbows, lips, cracked skin, feet, heels, etc. The product's consistency changes with heat. It hardens when cool and melts when exposed to temperatures about 80 degrees. For use, I like to swirl my fingers in quick circular motions over the product. The heat of my fingers melts the balm and it transfers to my skin in a non-greasy oil-like form. It takes a few minutes for the oil to absorb into your skin. Once it does, you are left soft and moisturized without any greasy after-feel. Plus, the product leaves that light and lovely chocolate scent on your skin.
I have had great results with this TruSelf Raw Body Butter balm! My dry patches and cuticles have improved from consistent use. The compact size has proven very convenient. It is easy to keep this product nearby to remind yourself to apply it frequently to heal dry skin.
